
BIO: NICHOLAS LUPO
Senior Instructor
Nicholas Lupo has been in public service for over 25 years and has developed specializations in Code Enforcement and Civil & Regulatory Investigations. He began his career with Broward County and soon went to work for the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO). In 2000, he was promoted to the Code Enforcement Unit and was assigned to the City of Pompano Beach. Mr. Lupo conducted hundreds of examinations and investigations. He was the first BSO Civil Enforcement Inspector to pursue the Nuisance Abatement regulations to seize and secure properties utilized for significant criminal enterprises. For his efforts he was awarded a Sheriff's Commendation, one of only a few to receive this distiction.

In 2005, Mr. Lupo was contracted to head up and run the Code Compliance & Civil Enforcement Division of the Town of Southwest Ranches, a newly established suburb of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at that time. He was then hired as the Division Manager of Code Enforcement for the City of Dania Beach, Florida, where he implemented and created numerous Nuisance Abatement and Property Improvement programs to combat crime and improve neighborhood appearances. He also oversaw and overhauled the City's Business Licensing and Parking Enforcement Divisions, which garnered much praise from the City's management for their success.

Mr. Lupo began working as an Investigator for the State of Florida in 2013. In this capacity, he regulates a number of industries in order to protect the public from fraud or harm. He quickly rose up the ranks becoming a Senior Investigator, and has since subsequently been promoted to the position of Investigator Supervisor for South Florida, where he oversees the 3 busiest and most populated counties in Florida.

Mr. Lupo graduated Summa Cum Laude from Broward College and holds multiple professional certifications relating to the fields of code, civil, and regulatory enforcement.
